Last night was one of those unanounced shows that people find out about only because they have cell phones.
12 Galaxies got Ryan Adams to do an extra concert, after he played the Palace of Fine Arts. I've never seen more guitar techs on one stage, except maybe a stadium. It was crazy packed, with a 200-person line waiting to pay the bargain door price of $5.
Notable in the crowd was Jakob Dylan, genetic lottery winner extraordinaire. Even in the low lights of the club, he glowed. He'll be the one who stands out in the dark, even when he's all dressed in black.

I wanted to go, but then the Castro blew up. So I hid out at home away from the firetrucks.
